According to the State Agency for Electronic Governance, the Regulation on the Integrated Electronic Identification System was approved by the Government at the meeting held on June 19.
“From now on, information and telecommunication systems of juristic persons of any ownership can be connected to the Integrated Electronic Identification System. For example, online stores, e-commerce sites and web-based platforms used to make an appointment with a doctor, etc. Any resources, which may require electronic identification of a person,” the Agency's representative explained.
It is reported that the Regulation on the Integrated Electronic Identification System describes mechanisms for creating, modernizing and improving the System. The organizational and legal framework was also developed for public management of the Integrated Electronic Identification System.
It is worth reminding that the Integrated Electronic Identification System (https://id.gov.ua/), developed by the State Agency for Electronic Governance, unites all electronic identification service providers (qualified providers of electronic trustee services, MobileID, BankID, ID-cards) and guarantees users a safe access to electronic services thanks to accurate identification within state and other information systems.
The Integrated Data Protection System with certified compliance was introduced into the Integrated Electronic Identification System late in the last year (the Certificate of the Integrated Data Protection System’s Compliance was registered by the Administration of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine under No. 18213 on December 18, 2018).
Presently, the System is operated in a pilot mode. All qualified providers of electronic trustee services (26 centres), National Bank of Ukraine (BankID), Kyivstar and Vodafone (MobileID), Main Service Centre of the MIA, State Environmental Inspectorate, State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, etc. are connected to the System.
“Our next steps to be made by the end of the year include development and approval of the Electronic Identification Scheme for Low, Medium and High Trust Levels,” the State Agency for Electronic Governance reported.
